As a Sophomore: Appeared in 19 games, making one start...used primarily as a defensive substitute, pinch runner and pinch hitter...batted .429 with two runs batted in and six runs scored...hit safely in his first five at bats...drove in his first career run on opening day against St. Thomas (2/1)...got his first outfield assist as a defensive replacement against Palm Beach Atlantic (2/21)...got his second RBI against Mansfield (4/28).

As a Freshman: Appeared in 19 games…batted .143 with eight runs scored…made first career appearance as a pinch runner, scoring a run against Nova Southeastern (2/7)…earned his first career hit versus St. Thomas (4/15), going 1-for-1 with a run scored.

At Prior High School: Played for Michael Wrenn at Armwood High School…four-year letterwinner for the Hawks…named team captain as a senior, batting .350 with two home runs.

Personal Information: Born Gabriel Perez on October 9, 1988 in Bronx, N.Y…son of Samuel and Modesta Perez…youngest of four siblings, Samuel Perez Jr., Elizabeth Nawn and Daniel Perez…criminal justice major…enjoys working out and practicing/playing baseball…favorite movie is Scarface…favorite band is Ne-Yo…describes himself as athletic, out-going and humorous.
