As a Freshman: Chelsey was named to the Sunshine State Conference All-Freshman Team... played in 30 matches for the Fighting Knights, starting 12... averaged 2.36 kills and 0.71 blocks per set while hitting at a .271 clip... recorded eight matches with double-figure kills including 19 against West Florida (11/19) in the quarterfinals of the 2009 NCAA South Regional... hit over .400 in seven different contests... rejected five attempts in back-to-back matches against Saint Leo (09/25) and Palm Beach Atlantic (10/02).

At Prior High School: A four-year starter at Ankeny High School.... named the Iowa Player of the Year and Gatorade Player of the Year for Iowa as a senior... first team All-State selection in 2008 and 2007... led the Hawkettes to the 4A State Championship her freshman and senior seasons in 2005 and 2008... earned All-Academic recognition for the Central Iowa Metro League...member of Student Council, Friends of Rachel, SADD, NCYL, French Club and Student Think Tank.

Personal Information: Born August 5, 1990 in Des Moines, Iowa... parents are Jeff and Julie Semprini... has two older sisters... Chelsey is an elementary education major.
