2009: Axel earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic honors for the third-straight season... went 5-4 in singles play as the Fighting Knights made their second consecutive NCAA quarterfinals appearance... went 3-1 in doubles play.

2008: Earned ITA All-Academic honors... put together a 10-8 record in singles playing primarily in the No. 6 position... went 13-12 in doubles anchoring the third slot.

2007: Named ITA All-Academic... came on strong as the season progressed, posting a 10-1 doubles record while helping the Fighting Knights to their first national title in program history... teamed with fellow freshman Tomas Racak to win 9-of-10 matches to close out the season... went 10-7 in singles play with one win over a nationally-ranked opponent.

Prior to Lynn: Played in junior tournaments throughout Europe.

Personal Information: Born Axel Allan Joachim on June 29, 1988 in Schoelcher, Martinique... parents are Guy-Jean and Chantal Joachim... has one older sister and one older brother... enjoys listening to music and hanging out with friends in his spare time... Axel is a biology major.
