St. Augustine, Fla. - Lynn University's softball team swapped shutouts with Flagler to split a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.  The Fighting Knights dropped the opening game 5-0 to the Saints before blanking their hosts 4-0 in the second tilt.

In the opener, the Saints (7-4) posted an early run in the bottom of the first on a single with a pair of runners in scoring position.  Both sides kept things close until Flagler tallied another four runs in the sixth before holding the Knights (3-5) off the rest of the way.

Meghan Osborne collected a pair of hits in the loss, going 2-fo-3 from the plate at the leadoff spot.

Switching things around in the second half of the twinbill, the Blue and White took the early lead in the third on an Osborne RBI double to score Andrea Lewis from first.  The Knights would make it a comfortable lead a frame later, plating three more runs on a two-RBI single by Brittany Gross and a Flagler error.

Katrina Lavadan recorded a pair of hits while Lewis scored twice for the Knights in the victory.

Amber Havnar (1-2) picked up her first win of the season for Lynn, working the final four innings in relief and striking out four.  Marianne Johnson started the game for the Blue and White and tossed three scoreless innings, allowing just three hits in the process.

The Knights return to action on Sunday with a doubleheader against Armstrong Atlantic State at 1 p.m.
