Men's Soccer to Host Opening Round of SSC Tournament

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Lynn University earned the third-seed at the 2009 Sunshine State Conference Men's Soccer Championships after topping rival Barry 3-1 in the season finale.  With the victory, the Fighting Knights will host their quarterfinals round game against sixth-seed Nova Southeastern.

The quarterfinals round will be played on Tuesday, November 3, at 3 p.m. at the McCusker Sports Complex.

Ticket prices set by the SSC Office are as follows: $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for students (age 13 - college) and $5.00 for seniors.  Children 12 and under are admitted free.  Regular season SSC passes will not be accepted for admission to any SSC Soccer Tournament match.

The winner of Tuesday's contest will move on to face second-seed Tampa on the UT campus on Friday, November 6, at 7 p.m. Semifinals winners will then square off for the tournament title on Sunday, November 8, at 1 p.m.

Quarterfinals - Tuesday, November 3
No. 6 Nova Southeastern at No. 3 Lynn, 3 p.m.
No. 5 Florida Tech at No. 4 Barry, 7 p.m.

Semifinals - Friday, November 6 (hosted by the University of Tampa)
No. 4-5 Winner vs. No. 1 Rollins, 4:30 p.m.
No. 3-6 Winner at No. 2 Tampa, 7 p.m.

Final - Sunday, November 8 (hosted by the University of Tampa)
Semifinal Winners, 1 p.m.
