BOCA RATON, Fla. - Lynn University women's soccer player Brittany Evernden has been selected to the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team. Evernden is now eligible for Academic All-America accolades. This marks the second consecutive year the Fighting Knights have had a first team honoree.

The biology major with a 3.83 cumulative grade-point average was one of 12 student-athletes selected from the Sunshine State Conference.

A native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Evernden has returned to top form following a 2008 season-ending knee injury. She has set career-highs in assists (nine) and points (17) while tying her previous best for goals (four). Her nine assists not only lead the Blue & White but put her second within the SSC.

Lynn is 9-8 overall and advanced to the SSC tournament for the fourth consecutive season and sixth overall.
