BOCA RATON, Fla. - Lynn University's men's soccer team saw three student-athletes receive CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District accolades for the third consecutive year. Kyle Conrad earned first team recognition for the second straight season while Joe Cundall and Gabe Taboada were honored on the second team. Conrad is now eligible to for an Academic All-America selection.
Enjoying his best season as a Fighting Knight, Conrad is second on the team with 12 goals and 30 points while chipping in six assists. He has set career-highs for goals and points and ranks in the top-five of the Sunshine State Conference for both categories. The Jensen Beach, Fla., product boasts a 3.79 grade-point average in sports and recreation management.
Cundall has emerged as one of the top defenders on a Blue & White squad that is holding opponents to well under one goal per game with seven shutouts. Opening the season as the right back, he has excelled in the move to central defense. Under his leadership, LU has tied for the fewest goals allowed in SSC play. The Dewsbury, England, native is a business administration major with a 3.47 GPA.
A hometown Boca Raton, Fla., product, Taboada is two-points shy of reaching 20 for the third year in a row. This season he has six goals and six assists while also adding one game-winning goal. Taboada will graduate this spring with a 3.42 GPA in business administration.
Lynn is 14-3 overall and 5-3 in the SSC and secured the No. 3 seed for the conference tournament.
