BOCA RATON, Fla. -Three Lynn University volleyball players were named CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District,
as announced on Thursday. Setter Devon
Woolard earned her second-straight first team nod and is now eligible for
Academic All-America honors while middle blocker Sophie Gagnon and libero Lacy
Redwine both garnered second team accolades.
Woolard has posted a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in
business administration to go with her standout career on the court. The local Delray Beach, Fla., product
averages 10.00 assists, 3.00 digs and 1.11 kills per set and is the Fighting
Knights' all-time leader in assists with 3,314.
Gagnon has posted a 3.77 GPA as a biology major in her
three years at Lynn. A solid all-around
player, she averages 1.84 kills, 0.92 blocks and 0.79 digs per set while
hitting at a .227 attack percentage.
Redwine garnered her recognition with a 3.87 GPA in business
administration. She averages 4.75 digs
per frame and recently became just the fourth Knight to amass 1,000 career
digs. Redwine set the program record
with 33 digs in a five set win over Michigan Tech and has topped 20 digs in
seven matches this season.
