BOCA RATON, Fla. - Lynn University's baseball team participated in its annual blood drive in early-December, joining forces with the Community Blood Centers of South Florida. The NCAA Division II National Champions have been partnering with the CBCSF for the past seven years.
"We've been doing this for seven years now and it is a very rewarding experience," said head coach Rudy Garbalosa. "This is an opportunity for our guys, returners and newcomers, to come together and give back to the community and really help out people with a dire need to live."
Community Blood Centers of South Florida, Inc, (CBCSF) is a non-profit all voluntary blood collection agency. Each year, CBCSF collects over 220,000 pints of blood and blood products for hospital and kidney dialysis patients.
